Diary, 1870-1871, unknown female author. First entry describes train ride from "1846 Master St." to Downingtown, then a stage to Guthrieville. The farm seems to be called Mulburry Terrace. The two women seem to know many neighbors and they walk about a lot. Also attend to multiple house chores. They seem to move into a new house on "Lower St." near 17th St. Attend the Epiphany Church, St. Clements, and Holy Trinity. The author and other women do a great deal of sewing. Lists many callers. Author tells of attending a concert at the West Philadelphia Concert Society. Also attend an art reception at the Union League. Details many trips to town for Christmas shopping. Mentions other family (father) and Christmas activities. Infrequently mentions the weather.
